of Assistant Engineer (Electrical) under the Public Works Department,

Age Limit: – Not more than 36 years as on the 1st January 2020. The
benefits of reservation of vacancies and upper age concession up to 5 years are
admissible only to SC and ST candidates of West Bengal and up to 3 years to
O.B.C candidates of West Bengal.
Educational Qualification: – Degree in Electrical
Engineering from a recognized University.
Pay Scale: – Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/ (P.B. -4A) + Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/-
(unrevised).
Application Fee: – Candidates are required to make Application Fee Payment through
Online and Offline.

Exemption of Fee is available to SC/ST candidates of other states. No claim for
refund of the fee will be entertained.
Selection Process: – Candidates will be
selected on the basis of two stages:
- Written Examination
- Interview
Written part shall bear total marks of 200 and that in the
interview shall be 100.
Ability to Read, Write and Speak in Bengali is an essential
requirement but such Knowledge is not Mandatory for Candidates whose Mother
Tongue is Nepali.

How to Prepare this Exam: –
For STAGE 1- Written Examination
The candidates need to prepare for the examination based on the
syllabus thoroughly and the examination will contain 200 total marks.
Candidates should try to practice online Test Series.
Candidates should solve previous year papers and sample papers.
For STAGE-2 Interview
The candidates who clear the written test will be called for the
interview. The interview Round is of 100 marks. The candidates who appear for
the interview need to produce all the valid documents. The final merit list
will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written examination and
interview.
