How to Apply:
– Before filling the Online Application form, applicants must register
themselves with the Commission through the facility of One Time Registration
available on the website www.appsc.gov.in
. Applicants are advised to submit only one application. Applicants with
existing registration on OTR need not register again and can directly login to
fill up the Application Form using their user ID and password. Candidates are
required to upload scanned copies of recent passport size photo and the
signature.

SELECTION METHOD
The
Eligible candidates have to appear in the written examination followed by viva
voce. The Written Examination carrying General English of 100 Marks, General
Knowledge of 100 Marks & Technical Paper of 200 Marks. The Viva-Voce carries
50 Marks. So Total Marks for the Selection is of 450. For qualifying in the
Written Examination, candidate must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each
subject and aggregate total of minimum 45% marks. The Commission may conduct an
Initial Recruitment Test on Technical Subject to limit the number of candidates
for the Written Examination. Candidates qualified in the Written Examination
will have to submit copies of following documents:-
- Recent
passport size photograph - Matriculation
Certificate - Class
XII Certificate with Mark sheet - Degree
Certificate with Mark sheet - APST
Certificate - Aadhar
Card - NOC
from the applicable Authority - Disability
certificate (for PwD candidate only)
Candidates will produce all the original certificates
mentioned above at the time of Interview/Viva-Voce.
Candidates are advised to
go through syllabus of the written examination which is available on the
official website and prepare accordingly. Candidates are required to practice
previous year papers and sample papers which are available on the internet.
For Assistant
Engineer (Electrical), The Written Examination Pattern as follows:
Section
-1 is General Ability Test which comprises of General English and Essay,
General Studies (Objective) of 200 Marks. Time Allotted for the General Ability
Test is 3 Hours.
ElectricalEngineering(Objective)/Mechanical
Engineering/Electronics/Telecommunication/Computer Engineering which is of 300 Marks and the Time
Allotted for this paper is 3 Hours.
Section 2
(Conventional Papers) – Section 2 is comprises of two papers of concerned
subject. Paper 1 is of 200 Marks and Time Allotted is 3 Hours, Paper 2 is of
200 Marks and Time Allotted is 3 Hours.
Personality
/Viva-voce Test is of 100 Marks.
