How to Apply: – Candidates are required to apply
ONLINE only using the website wbpolice.gov.in. Applicants need to upload their
recent photograph and signature. Payment of Application Fees can be made online
through payment gateway by using Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Net-Banking of any
Bank. On successful submission of the application, a unique Application Serial
by the system. Candidates are advised to preserve it safely for future
communications. Each applicant is required to have an individual mobile no and
e-mail ID. Candidates who submit more than one application form will be
rejected.

How to Crack this Exam

Applicants have to appear in an MCQ
based preliminary examination. There would be 100 objective questions having
multiple choices of answers carrying equal marks. The duration will be 1:30
hours. Question paper will be set in two languages i.e. Bengali & Nepali.
Questions of the Preliminary Examination shall be from the following subjects: –

There will be Negative marking for
each incorrect answer. The marks obtained by a candidate in the preliminary
examination will not be considered for preparing the final merit list. To
appear in the next stage of selection process candidates need to qualify in the
preliminary examination. Candidates need to study more and practice previous
year papers, sample papers with consideration of time factor. This is the key
to success in preliminary examination.

The Next stage of Selection Process is
Physical Measurement Test, The physical standards of the candidates as
mentioned will be tested using electronic machines of those who qualify in the
Preliminary Examination.

Candidates who qualify in PMT will be
allowed to appear in Physical Efficiency Test.

Candidates who qualified in PMT &
PET will have to appear in the Final Competitive Examination. There is two
parts, Part 1 is based on MCQ type questions of Physics and Mathematics which
is 10+2 level. There will be 70 questions carrying equal mark each. There will
be Negative marking for each incorrect answer.

Part 2 is Language Test and duration
of this part is 30 minutes. In this candidates need to translate the passage
from English to Bengali/Nepali.

Final Stage of the Selection Process
is the Personality Test.
